We offer magnetic shift paddles for many cars, but the installation instructions are generally common:
1. Disconnect the car battery (-)
2. Demount and unplug airbag
3. Unplug and screw out OEM shifters
4. Screw in and plug in magnetic paddle shifters
5. Plug and place the airbag
6. Reconnect the Car Battery (-)

Porsche
Instalation time: 20 minutes
Difficulty Level: Medium
Tooling needed:
- T55 Torx wrench
- T20 Torx wrench
- 10 mm socket wrench
- Flat screwdriver (medium)
1. Disconnect the car battery (-)
Use the 10 mm wrench to disconnect the negative terminal and insulate it to prevent accidental contact.
2. Demount and unplug airbag
3. Remove steering wheel
Use the T55 wrench to unscrew the steering wheel bolt. Disconnect any remaining connectors and carefully pull out the steering wheel.
IMPORTANT: Mark the steering wheel’s position on the spline to ensure accurate reinstallation.
4. Remove OEM Shifters
Use the T20 wrench to unscrew and remove the OEM shifters, taking care with the plugs.
5. Install Magnetic Paddle Shifters
Plug in and attach the magnetic paddle shifters, securing them with the original screws using the T20 wrench.
6. Reassemble Steering Wheel
Align and install the steering wheel on the spline, reconnecting all plugs. Tighten the wheel using the T55 wrench.
7. Attach Airbag
Reconnect the airbag connectors and press the airbag firmly into the steering wheel.
8. Reconnect the Car Battery (-)
Reconnect the battery, securing the terminal with the 10 mm wrench.
Hyundai
Instalation time: 20 minutes
Difficulty Level: Medium
Tooling needed:
- 2.5 mm allen key
- 10 mm socket wrench
- Flat screwdriver (medium)
- Flat screwdriver (small)
- Cross screwdriver (medium)
1. Disconnect the car battery (-)
Use the 10 mm wrench to disconnect the negative terminal and insulate it to prevent accidental contact.
2. Demount and unplug airbag
Insert a small flathead screwdriver into the two access points on the back of the steering wheel to release the spring clips. Gently pull out the airbag module and unplug the electrical connectors.
3. Remove OEM Shifters
Use the cross screwdriver to unscrew and remove the OEM shifters, taking care with the plugs.
NOTE: To disconnect the original plugs, pry them out with a small screwdriver.
4. Install Magnetic Paddle Shifters
Plug in and attach the magnetic paddle shifters, securing them with the new screws using the 2.5 mm allen key.
5. Attach Airbag
Reconnect the airbag connectors and press the airbag firmly into the steering wheel.
6. Reconnect the Car Battery (-)
Reconnect the battery, securing the terminal with the 10 mm wrench.
BMW/Toyota
Instalation time: 20 minutes

Tooling needed:
- 2.5 mm allen key
- T20 torx wrench
- 10 mm socket wrench
- Flat screwdriver (medium)
- Flat screwdriver (small)

Plug in and attach the magnetic paddle shifters, securing them with the new screws using the 2.5 mm allen key.
5. Attach Airbag
Reconnect the airbag connectors and press the airbag firmly into the steering wheel.
6. Reconnect the Car Battery (-)
Reconnect the battery, securing the terminal with the 10 mm wrench.
